Associate Director of Contracts and Procurement Services


Purchase College, SUNY seeks qualified applicants to fill a full-time Associate Director of Contracts and Procurement Services position. This position will assist the Director with the oversight and daily operations of the College's Procurement and Accounts Payable Department. The Associate Director will assist the Director in formulating procurement policy, providing guidance and direction to the campus community with policy compliance, as well as manage a staff of five in the day-to-day operations of the Purchasing Department. This position interacts with all levels of College Administration, faculty and staff, as well as vendors, SUNY System Administration, NYS Comptroller, General Services and Attorney General. Functional processes include processing of purchase requisitions, awards of purchase orders and contracts to suppliers in accordance with College, SUNY, and State requirements; effective and efficient preparation of Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Invitations for Bids (IFB), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in business or legal studies and /or minimum 7 years progressive work experience in a related field.
