Who we are:


Farallon Medical Alliance (FMA) is a small, but dynamic management service organization providing administrative and financial support to two independent medical corporations comprised of 150+ medical providers.  These two corporations currently contract with hospitals within San Francisco, Novato, Santa Rosa, and Lakeport.  FMA was created to streamline administrative time and overhead for the two corporations that partnered to create it.  The structure of FMA allows for the future addition of other medical groups into the partnership.


Who you are: 


Our current CEO is retiring at the end of the year, and we are searching for a fantastic human to whom he can hand off the torch.  Our ideal person will exude trustworthiness, pride themselves on their customer service, be excellent at forging personal connections with executives, managers, and employees, as well as be excited to tackle new tasks and challenges as they come – even if they fall outside the usual CEO realm).  Translation: this is a very hands-on job and necessitates a willingness to be very involved in the day-to-day operations.


The position will also involve being the acting CFO for one of the medical corporations, which means experience in finance is vital.  You must also have a background in medical business management, and a strong ability to work and think independently.   Our small FMA team would enjoy working with someone that engages them in two-way communication often, and sets clear expectations and goals.


For what and whom you would be responsible:


This role will encompass, but may not be limited to being hands-on in these areas:


  • Payroll
  • Medical billing
  • Budgeting
  • 401(k) administration
  • Contracting
  • Cash flow
  • Banking
  • Medical malpractice and other insurance policies
  • Managing and filing corporate documentation, taxes, and fees
  • Managing and delegating to the FMA employees.
  • Overseeing and maintaining relationships with external financial vendors.
  • Responding to inquiries from employees, banks, EDD, and other vendors regarding employee financial information.
  • Issuing and reclaiming certificates of shares, and collecting/refunding share purchase amounts.




  • A degree such as an MBA and/or related graduate degree in the medical field
  • At least 10 years of upper level management experience
