About Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett (SNS) – Our Story

From its beginnings in 1988 as a pre-school through today, our Mission of educating God’s special needs children by challenging minds, nurturing hearts, and developing an “I Can” attitude has remained our guiding principle.

SNS is a private, not-for-profit school located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.  We serve students ranging in age from two through young adult with varying developmental disabilities.  Our teachers understand the students and know how to work with each student’s individual needs.  SNS exists for our students and our classes are designed to meet their individual needs.  Our goal is for all our students to reach their potential in social, academics, language and motor skills while gaining independence and developing an “I Can” attitude toward life and learning.
