Westminster-Canterbury of the Blue Ridge (WCBR) is seeking a team member to join our Human Resources department supporting a lively 57-acre campus, 460+ residents, and 300+ associates.

Reporting directly to the CEO and serving on the Executive Leadership Team, the VP of HR and OD is directly responsible for the overall strategic planning, administration, and evaluation of the Human Resources function. This position assumes overall responsibility for employee relations, recruitment and retention strategies, employee learning and development, wage and benefit administration, and compliance with all state and federal employment laws.  

Our ideal candidate must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources with a SHRM/HRCI certification.
  • 10 years of related technical experience in HR administration with experience at a senior leadership level combined with assessing and designing organizational development initiatives.
  • Ability to handle information of a highly confidential nature.
  • Excellent project management, time management, and fiscal responsibility.

Additional desired experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in CCRC, health care, or hospitality setting preferred.
