Chapter Senior Director

The Chapter Senior Director provides strategic leadership for Breakthrough T1D's fundraising, volunteer engagement, and mission awareness efforts within the chapter. This is a remote position based in Los Angeles, CA, requiring monthly travel to Orange County for meetings, as well as local travel for donor/board meetings and events. The role serves as a member of the Territory Executive Team.

Responsibilities

• Fundraising & Engagement (50%): Execute strategic revenue plans; manage personal and chapter revenue goals; drive performance in Peer 2 Peer, signature events, major giving, and corporate engagement.
• Volunteer Management (25%): Lead and engage the Community Board; guide the board nominating process; foster strong relationships between staff and volunteer leadership.
• Awareness (15%): Cultivate relationships with constituents, media, and healthcare partners; promote mission engagement in research, advocacy, and clinical trials.
• Administration and Management (10%): Provide performance management and professional staff development; manage annual budgets and fiscal records; serve as a member of the Territory Executive Team.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8 years of professional fundraising experience (including 3-5 years in a supervisory capacity), with a record of success managing revenue in excess of $3M.
• Skills: Expertise in large-scale events (walk, gala), major/corporate giving, donor stewardship, and managing active volunteer networks.
• Technical: Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and MS Suite.
• Education: College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Attributes: High emotional IQ, superior analytical and critical thinking skills, and ability to effectively motivate teams.

Salary: Target salary range of $130,000 - $140,000.

Location: Remote, based in Los Angeles, CA (monthly travel to Orange County and local travel required).
