Chief Development and Marketing Officer

Sierra Club is seeking a Chief Development and Marketing Officer (CDMO) to lead integrated fundraising, marketing, and stakeholder engagement strategies. This key executive leader will report directly to the Executive Director and serve on the Leadership Team, bridging mission and resources to ensure long-term organizational sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and strengthen a complex revenue ecosystem generating more than $160M annually
- Lead the development and execution of a multi-year, integrated revenue and constituent engagement strategy
- Serve as a senior external ambassador and leading voice for the organization
- Manage a sophisticated funding landscape of 501(c)3 funds, 501(c)4 funds and political funds
- Build and embed enterprise-wide systems, data practices, and performance frameworks
- Foster a culture of fundraising and shared ownership of revenue across staff, volunteers, leadership, and Boards
- Provide strategic counsel to the Executive Director, Boards of Directors, and senior leaders

Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience in revenue generation with exemplary track record directing a large, comprehensive, complex development and/or marketing team
- Substantial executive-level leadership experience in a highly dynamic and evolving environment
- Experience building internal systems and processes to strengthen revenue-generation functions
- Passion for Sierra Club's mission and commitment to environmental and social justice

Salary Range: $275,000 - $325,000 annually
