Community Health Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Health and Human Services (HHS) department is a senior management position responsible for ensuring the financial health and compliance (GAAP, GASB, and grant requirements) of the department. The role involves strategic financial planning, risk management, supervision of staff, securing funding, and overseeing financial operations.
Job Type: Full-Time Regular | Department: Health - Accounting
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess programs for financial operations and compliance with grant, state, and federal guidelines.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and departmental budgets.
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements and conduct financial analysis and forecasting.
- Oversee clinic billing and collections, third-party payer rules, and tax/regulatory correspondence.
- Manage team members, including hiring, training, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and work assignments.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Five (5) years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Certifications: Must possess a valid Oregon driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Preferred: CPA.
- Knowledge/Skills: Proficiency in GAAP/GASB, medical billing, budget development, financial software, and effective communication.
Salary: $92,076.00 - $126,000.00 Annually
