Controller for Nonprofit Organizations

Responsibilities
• Manage the financial operations and reporting for a portfolio of nonprofit organizations
• Provide controller-level services to clients including financial statement preparation, budgeting, and analysis
• Supervise accounting staff and coordinate with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Advise clients on financial best practices and strategic planning
• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted financial advisor
• Participate in business development and client growth initiatives
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Nonprofit accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit financial reporting
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
