Deputy Director of Clinical Health Services

Under general direction, assists in oversight of Clinical Health Services at clinics and various outreach operations, including Medical Mobile Services, programs, and services to ensure provision of primary care and treatment, sexual and reproductive wellness services, prevention and spread of communicable and infectious diseases; and the coordination and provision of health and related services that will meet the needs of the indigent, underserved, and homeless while promoting community health prevention and improvement. In the absence of the Director, would serve as the Director of Clinical Health Services.

Salary: $86,163 - $107,704 Annually

Essential Functions:

• Provides guidance and leadership to Clinical Services Department through the development of mission and vision statements for each program and/or service that support the long-term strategic plans and goals of the Health Department
• Assesses community needs with Program Managers on a regular basis to determine intermediate and long-term solutions and best practices
• Assists the Director in approval of hires; delegates and prioritizes programs, projects, and assignments; supports staff development
• Assists in developing annual budget and expenditure projections; procures materials, space, personnel necessary to run department services
• Assists in developing goals, objectives, protocols and internal controls for each program and service delivery site
• Researches and plans for new clinical health services; coordinates the evaluation of public health care services
• Ensures outreach programs provide education, screening, treatment, and medications for existing medical conditions including infectious/contagious diseases

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with 5 years of direct work experience in clinical health care, 3 years in a supervisory capacity; OR
• Associate's Degree in Nursing with 7 years of direct work experience in clinical health care, 3 years in a supervisory capacity; OR
• High school diploma equivalent with 9 years of direct work experience in clinical health care, 3 years in a supervisory capacity
• A valid driver's license is required

This is a Fair Labor Standards Act Defined Exempt Position. Full-time, on-site position. All positions within Hamilton County Government are considered work in-person and require regular and punctual attendance.
