Established in 1993, Tampa Bay Watch is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the recovery and protection of the Tampa Bay estuary through scientific and educational programs.
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the CEO, the Development Director is responsible for creating the annual development plan and successful execution of fundraising initiatives at Tampa Bay Watch. This position will focus on fundraising capacity, including donor cultivation and annual and planned-giving.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop an annual development plan that aligns with the strategic plan
• Implement, coordinate, and manage an annual giving program
• Implement, coordinate, and manage a major gift program
• Works with the CEO to organize and manage the organization's planned giving program
• Manage and coordinate the efforts of the development team
• Maintain consistent personal contact with current donors, prospects, committee members and the Board of Directors
• Create and maintain an annual donor cultivation and stewardship plan
• Work with the Board of Directors and Fundraising Committee on conducting an annual board giving campaign
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, sales, communications, public relations, business, or other related areas.
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum five years' experience in development and fundraising, CFRE desired
• Experience in developing and implementing an annual fund campaign, planned giving and major gifts programs
• Experience in managing and supervising direct reports
SALARY & BENEFITS:
• Starting salary range is $90,000 - $110,000, commensurate with experience
