The Director of HR guides the organization's overall human capital strategy by aligning personnel management with corporate goals. They oversee all essential functions of the HR department. As a strategic team member, this professional removes administrative bottlenecks, spearheads technology integration, and mentors a high-performing HR team to deliver seamless internal services.
Leadership:
- A competent and credible leader whom others choose to follow.
- Sustain a high performing HR team.
- Cultivate a continuous-improvement growth mindset while mentoring HR staff on operational excellence and legal protocols.
- Architect, standardize, and scale HR operational processes across the organization.
- Lead integration of technologies to optimize HR operations.
- Prioritize, delegate and direct everyday tasks for HR staff.
- Advise leadership and management on HR strategy and personnel matters.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on departmental efficiency.
- Cultivate strong, trusted cross departmental working relationships.
- Leads with deep knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
HR Operations:
Accountable for the oversight and direction of all HR operations including but not limited to:
- Compliance with legislation and regulations and leading support of any audits and investigations.
- Oversight of Unemployment and Workers Compensation.
- Full cycle talent management (recruitment to onboarding).
- Managing organizational employee policies and procedures.
- Maximizing utilization of HR software and tools.
- Auditing legacy workflows to eliminate redundancies and automate manual administrative tasks.
- Employee Relations, documentation and records management, investigations, leave administration, payroll support, and benefits selection and administration.
- Shape competitive salary tiers alongside comprehensive healthcare and retirement benefits.
- Organizational HR training.
Administrative Compliance:
- Complete all required reports and administrative duties on time.
- Collect and manage required data and internal and external reporting, ensuring accuracy.
- Comply with all administrative policies, procedures, processes, and controls.
Facility & Safety:
- Accountable for adherence to all organizational health and safety policies and implementation of all safety practices and procedures at assigned work location(s).
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect members, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities.
