Director of Resource Development & Engagement

Jewish Community Services of South Florida (JCS) is seeking a Director of Resource Development and Engagement to build philanthropic support for the agency and the engagement of key stakeholders. Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000/year Location: Miami, FL 33181 The Director will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects and donors capable of making gifts in the $1,000-$25,000 range. They will oversee annual solicitation plans to grow membership in JCS affinity groups, and build relationships leading to major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, and foundation gifts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Fundraising and Prospect Management: - Lead a team of fundraisers to achieve development goals - Manage a portfolio of approximately 150 donors and prospects - Achieve an annual fundraising goal of $500,000+ through at least 100 personal contacts annually - Maintain accurate donor records using Raiser's Edge NXT Affinity Groups Volunteer Engagement: - Oversee JCS affinity group initiatives - Recruit, onboard, and engage new affinity group members and volunteers Stewardship and Events: - Plan and coordinate major fundraising and stewardship events - Build meaningful relationships with donors QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree required - Minimum 3 years of success in a fundraising or development role - Experience with Raiser's Edge or similar donor databases - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Familiarity with South Florida's philanthropic community - CFRE certification is a plus ABOUT JCS: Founded in 1920, Jewish Community Services of South Florida is the foremost non-profit human services agency serving the Jewish and broader communities throughout South Florida.
