Position Overview
The Strategy & Delivery Unit is a high-profile team that partners with the Executive Board and senior leaders to translate IRC's mission into actionable priorities. As Director, Strategy & Delivery, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting IRC's most important strategic initiatives. This is a senior leadership position that combines strategic advisory, problem-solving, and leading tight-knit teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Advisory
• Lead high-priority projects that advance IRC's global strategy and operational excellence
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on complex and sensitive issues
• Translate organizational goals into actionable plans
Project Delivery & Problem-Solving
• Oversee multiple complex projects from scoping to execution
• Apply structured problem-solving and evidence-based analysis
• Drive consensus among diverse stakeholders
Team Leadership & Development
• Manage and mentor members of the Strategy & Delivery Unit
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing culture
Qualifications
• 8-10 years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in management roles in strategy, consulting, or organizational transformation
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional projects in complex global environments
• Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders
Preferred: Experience in top-tier strategy consulting firm, Advanced degree (MBA or relevant master's), familiarity with humanitarian or development sectors
Salary: $140,000 - $150,000
Working Environment: Hybrid, some international travel required
