Salary: $160,000 per year

Status: Full-Time, Exempt

The Divisional Finance Director (DFD) oversees the financial affairs and accounting of The Salvation Army Cascade Division. The DFD gives leadership and supervision to the Finance Department and is responsible for accounting, planning and reporting for approximately 35 units within the Cascade Division. The DFD is a member of the leadership team and ensures accurate and timely financial reporting.

Essential Duties:

• Advise divisional administration on matters of fiscal policy and management
• Supervise management reporting including financial statements, audits, and budgets
• Provide oversight of accounting procedures throughout the division to ensure GAAP and FASB compliance
• Meet monthly with Divisional Leaders to review finances and reserve accounts
• Function as secretary for Command Finance Council (CFC)
• Work with field units to resolve accounting problems and provide training
• Visit each field unit annually to review financial performance
• Maintain relationships with independent CPA auditors
• Prepare or supervise timely budgets and financial forecasts
• Conduct or assist with internal audits as needed

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business (MBA preferred)
• CPA or CMA certification required for duration of employment
• Minimum 5 years' experience in managerial accounting and supervisory experience
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and FASB guidelines
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; familiarity with Shelby and Vivid beneficial
• Valid driver's license required

Travel required, including overnight and out-of-state travel.
