Executive Director

Description

The Executive Director is responsible for promoting and representing the work and mission of the Connecticut Catholic Foundation to Catholic institutions (parishes, schools, nonprofits) and individual/family donors within the Archdiocese of Hartford and beyond.

This role involves cultivating and stewarding institutional and individual relationships, growing endowments, advancing planned giving initiatives, and representing the Foundation at community and Archdiocesan events.

Key Responsibilities

• Cultivate new institutional relationships with parishes, schools, and Catholic organizations.

• Steward existing institutional partners to grow and manage endowment and investment funds.

• Promote and support planned giving strategies, including donor advised funds and charitable trusts.

• Identify and cultivate new individual and family donor prospects.

• Present investment results and philanthropic services to pastors, trustees, administrators, and parish councils.

• Represent CCF at Catholic community events, occasionally during evenings and weekends.

• Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies to support fundraising and growth.

• Collaborate with the COO and Requirements of Directors on strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred.

• 10+ years of relevant experience in sales, institutional financial services, development, or estate/charitable planning.

• Knowledge of capital markets and institutional investing practices.

• Strong connections or demonstrated familiarity with the Catholic community preferred.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

• Proven ability to achieve measurable sales and development goals.

• Collaborative, self-motivated, and goal-oriented with outstanding interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Commitment to the mission and values of the Connecticut Catholic Foundation.
