Executive Director

Community Living Alliance (CLA) is a nonprofit, community-based organization providing services for older adults and persons with disabilities and chronic illnesses in Madison, WI.

Position Summary:
The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for providing leadership to the organization in order to achieve its mission. Manage compensation and hiring of leadership team members. Ensure compliance and operational standards based on organization bylaws and regulations.

Primary Duties:
- Develops and implements annual, strategic, and long-range business plans consistent with the mission and values
- Provide leadership to the senior management team
- Conducts community outreach, government relations, and public safety policy development with stakeholders and policymakers
- Serves as primary management liaison with the governing board of directors
- Assures that the organization operates within conformity to all applicable statutes, regulations, contract requirements, and prudent business practices
- Assures financial viability with both operating funds and reserves
- Provide staff development and leadership guidance in conjunction with HR
- Partners and communicates openly with all department leaders
- Evaluate risk management and conduct risk assessment for fiscal and safety compliance
- Provide feedback to the board using business analytics relating to operations and strategic goals

Education/Experience:
Required:
- Master's degree in public administration, business administration, healthcare administration, community development, or related field (equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered)
- Ten (10) years of leadership experience in an executive or director level position in healthcare or similar field
- Valid driver's license and current WI auto insurance
- Must pass background check

Preferred:
- Experience working with regulatory bodies including CMS, Wisconsin DHFS, Wisconsin OIG, or Dane County DHS
- Experience in a nonprofit healthcare or home health care organization at executive/director level

Compensation: $150,000 - $180,000 per year depending on qualifications
