Hospital Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

$130,020 - $154,020 per year

The Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery, is seeking a Hospital Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the Chester Mental Health Center. This role oversees medical, psychiatric, administrative, and fiscal operations, directs standards of care for patients, manages the facility's budget, and serves as the hospital's official spokesperson.

Essential Functions:
- Serve as Hospital CEO for Chester Mental Health Center
- Direct, review, and enforce standards of patient care and treatment
- Oversee fiscal management staff and budget development
- Act as official spokesperson for the hospital
- Provide full-line supervision of staff
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
- Equivalent to a master's degree in a health or human services related field
- Four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a social services department, organization, facility, or hospital

Preferred Qualifications:
- Five years of experience organizing, administering, and evaluating multi-disciplinary services
- Strong oral and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Supervisory experience including staff training, evaluations, and scheduling
- Experience developing and interpreting organizational policy
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations for residential care programs
- Experience developing strategic and long-term plans for treatment programs

This is a full-time, salaried position located at Chester Mental Health Center, 1315 Lehman Dr, Chester, Illinois. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
