About the Housing Department
The Housing Department coordinates efforts to meet the housing needs of low, moderate, and middle-income residents through initiatives that create and preserve affordable housing, especially for families with children, and offers access to affordable housing.
About the Role
The Inclusionary Rental Housing Associate will be a key member of the Housing Department's inclusionary rental housing program team. They will work with rental applicants, tenants, City staff, non-profit organizations, Public Housing Authorities, private housing developers and managers, and other housing advocates and service providers.
Essential Duties
- Work with housing applicants through all phases of the application process and review of eligibility requirements including income certification.
- Review and process annual recertifications of tenant eligibility for program compliance.
- Manage turnover processing for available rental units; coordinate applicant review, offering and leasing of affordable units.
- Coordinate and conduct program information sessions and workshops to educate residents on housing options.
- Attend community events to publicize available housing assistance.
- Compile, report and analyze data on program utilization for evaluation and management.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in affordable housing programs, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Strong customer service skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Salary: $71,234 - $100,581 Annually
Closing Date: 03/24/2026
Hours: 37.5 per week
This position may be eligible for hybrid work under the City's Telework Policy.
