The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) is the largest nonprofit in the world solely focused on accelerating a cure for each and every multiple myeloma patient. Since its inception, the MMRF has committed over $600 million for research, opened nearly 100 clinical trials, and helped bring more than 15 FDA-approved therapies to market, which have tripled the life expectancy of myeloma patients.

Position Overview

The Manager, Strategic Partnerships supports and grows strategic partnerships that advance the MMRF's mission and programs. This role manages and expands relationships with existing corporate partners and vendors while identifying and cultivating new partnership opportunities. The Manager oversees partnerships end-to-end, including prospect research, outreach, proposal development, grant submissions, relationship management, reporting, and cross-functional project coordination.

 

Essential Functions

Manage and grow relationships with existing corporate partners and vendors. Build and maintain a prospect pipeline for the Strategic Partnerships team. Monitor myeloma oncology news to proactively identify partnership opportunities. Manage inbound and warm partnership leads with timely follow-up. Oversee partnership engagements end-to-end, including outreach, proposals, stewardship, and reconciliation. Coordinate cross-functionally to develop customized partnership opportunities and sponsorship packages. Draft proposals, presentations, and partnership materials. Manage Salesforce records and reporting systems. Identify and submit corporate grants. Support planning of ASCO, ASH, and other major conferences. Collect and analyze partnership data to evaluate effectiveness.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in life sciences, public health, business, communications, or related field. 3-5+ years of experience securing and growing corporate partnerships. 3-5+ years of experience within healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotech, life sciences, or nonprofit. Experience developing proposals, sponsorship materials, or grant submissions. Strong project management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Confidence interacting with executive management and leading presentations. Strong relationship-building and communication skills. Passion for the MMRF mission. Data-driven mindset.
