The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) is seeking a Program Manager 1B to serve as Rural Health Manager within the Bureau of Primary Care and Rural Health, Office of Public Health.
Join the Louisiana Department of Health's Bureau of Chronic Disease Prevention and Healthcare Access and make a meaningful impact on rural and underserved communities across the state. In this dynamic role, you will manage multiple statewide programs, including the State Office of Rural Health (SORH) grant, the Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility (FLEX) grant, and the Small Rural Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP) grant, while leading initiatives to expand health care services, strengthen provider networks, and promote community health system development.
Job Duties:
- Administer and direct all aspects of the SORH, FLEX, and SHIP grants
- Develop, manage, and monitor program budgets and work plans
- Draft, finalize, and monitor contracts and Memorandums of Understanding
- Respond to audit findings and programmatic challenges
- Provide consultation and technical assistance to staff and community stakeholders
- Lead statewide community health system development efforts
- Serve as a principal advisor to rural community leaders and agencies
- Supervise program staff
- Monitor and track state and federal legislation and policy related to rural health
- Prepare grant progress reports, performance reports, and renewal applications

Minimum Qualifications:
Seven years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or a bachelor's degree plus four years of such experience; or an advanced degree plus three years of such experience.
