Program Manager, Data Science

The American Heart Association has an opportunity for a Program Manager, Data Science. This position can be home-based.

The Program Manager develops and implements program operations encompassing business and scientific functions with accountability for budget planning, financial analysis, and operational excellence. Including oversight of mission-critical initiatives including a science-based AI Assessment Lab, National Surveillance Project, and Data Science grant portfolio.

Salary Range: $68,500 - $88,500
Location: Remote (home-based)
Position Type: Full Time

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop and implement management frameworks for Data Science Operations, including AI Assessment Lab and National Surveillance Project
- Lead oversight of data science grant portfolio, making recommendations for portfolio management, resource allocation, and performance optimization
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders across the enterprise to drive data science initiatives
- Direct end-to-end business operations including finance, procurement, vendor relations, and legal partnerships
- Lead strategic planning for annual budget development and execution, including burn rate analysis and financial modeling
- Synthesize complex financial and operational data to develop strategic recommendations and executive-level reporting
- Architect strategic plans for webinar programs and educational initiatives
- Direct national volunteer nomination database operations and workflow optimization
- Partner with Guidelines & Statements VP to synthesize insights from professional members and healthcare stakeholders
- Lead preparation for senior leadership reviews
- Establish and enforce embargo management protocols

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- At least three (3) years of work experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to connect with all levels of Association staff
- Experience working in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment
- Effective time management and organization skills
- Proficient in Excel, Smartsheet, and AI tools

Preferred:
- Experience supporting business and science operations
- Experience with developing and managing process documentation
