Senior Structural Engineer / Project Manager

Kleinfelder, a Forbes' Top Employer for Engineers in North America, is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer / Project Manager to join its structural team in New England. This role leads a diverse portfolio of clients spanning local/municipal, state, federal, higher education, and private sectors across Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, and Rhode Island. This position may be based in Boston, MA; Worcester, MA; Portland or Augusta, ME; or Rocky Hill, CT.

Responsibilities

• Perform concept design, analysis, and design of structures
• Prepare calculations, contract drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
• Review shop drawings and erection procedures
• Perform construction administration duties

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering strongly preferred
• Licensed PE in the state of Massachusetts; additional licensure in CT, RI, NH, or ME preferred
• 6-7 years of related experience, including 3-4 years of project management experience
• 1-2 years of coordination/supervisory experience preferred
• Progressive structural design experience including medium to large industrial and commercial buildings
• Proficiency in design of steel, concrete, prestressed concrete, timber, and/or masonry
• Working knowledge of IBC codes and structural engineering software (SAP, ETABS, STAAD, RAM Steel)

Compensation & Benefits
