Day-to-Day:

• Performs professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation and analysis of financial data. May include any or all of the following: ledgers and preparation of journal entries; review of trial balance or financial statements.
• Assist Senior Accounting Team with monthly and annual close process, including preparation of General Ledger Journal Entries, review AP, and review and record AR.
• Prepares and maintains appropriate source documentation supporting account reconciliations, journal entries and analyses for assigned general ledger accounts.
• Perform financial analysis including budget to actual fluctuations and period-to-period fluctuations as assigned.
• Assist in billing for state and federal grants. Gathering supporting documentation to external funders as requested, under the direction of departmental leadership.
• Research, reconcile and resolve issues for Property Management Corporation project numbers with out-sourced accounting group. Work with current Housing staff on housing portfolio.
• Prepare bank deposits via remote deposit and prepare supporting documentation for financial compliance.
• Assist with preparation of documents for independent audit and funding source audits (HUD corporations).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in applicable field plus two years directly related, transferable experience or four years directly related, transferable experience.
