The Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB) is the largest hunger-relief organization in Central Texas and a proud member of the Feeding America network. Position Overview
The Vice President of Finance + Accounting (VPFA) is responsible for managing the collection and recording of all pertinent finance and accounting data and transactions. This includes oversight of general ledgers, accounts payables/receivables, billings, audits, and managing the annual budget process. The VPFA is responsible for hiring, training and management of all accounting associates, and will oversee grants accounting, payroll and contract management.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Accounting & Reporting: strategic oversight of accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring integrity of the general ledger and timely close processes
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis: leads budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes
- Internal Controls, Policies & Financial Stewardship
- Audit, Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Grants & Restricted Funding Management
- Payroll & Benefits Financial Administration
- Financial Performance & Executive Decision Support
- Department Leadership & Staff Development
Reports to the Chief Operations Officer, with 3 direct reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA license required
- 10 years direct experience with G/L, A/P, A/R, budget, and financial statement preparation, including 3 years at Controller or Director level
- Nonprofit and/or long-term care experience a plus
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ERP systems experience a plus
