POSITION SUMMARY
The Alumni Engagement Manager works with the Chief Advancement Officer and Director of Advancement Operations and Engagement to develop and execute a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy. The role focuses on strengthening lifelong relationships, overseeing alumni programming, volunteer leadership, reunion engagement, communications, and affinity initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy:
- Develop and implement an engagement plan/calendar to increase alumni participation via programs and communications
Leadership:
- Serve as staff liaison to the Alumni Association and Alumni Board
- Recruit and train volunteer leaders
Programs:
- Oversee alumni events including Homecoming, Reunion Weekend, and regional gatherings
Communications:
- Manage engagement content across the website and print channels
- Share alumni stories to strengthen community connection
Collaboration:
- Partner with Alumni Giving to support philanthropic outcomes and donor pipeline development
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in alumni relations, volunteer management, advancement, or nonprofit work
- Strong relationship-building and event management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with volunteers and boards (preferred)
- Must be able to work on campus, in-person (Atlanta, GA)
