Chief Operations Officer Behavioral Health

HCA Florida Largo West Hospital is seeking a Chief Operations Officer Behavioral Health to provide leadership to the overall operation of the Largo West medical campus.

About the Position:
This position is incentive eligible and provides leadership to behavioral health services, inpatient rehab, outpatient wound care, a free standing ED, environmental services, and facilities. The COO has oversight for all areas operationally at the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop short and long range management and organization plans consistent with hospital goals
• Develop systems to integrate behavioral health services within medicine systems of care
• Provide administrative direction for recruitment, employment, development and termination of service-line employees
• Negotiate professional service contracts
• Maintain primary responsibility for medical staff relations and development
• Act as liaison between hospital advisory/Governing Board, medical staff and service line
• Prepare and present operational and financial reports
• Work with CFO's office to ensure realization of fiscal business plan
• Review and approve financial reports, budgets, managed care contracts and major expenditures
• Maintain service line accreditation and licensure standards (Joint Commission, Medicare, Medicaid, state licensure)
• Coordinate loss control, quality improvement and quality assurance programs
• Develop relationships and affiliations promoting public mental health success
• Serve on local community behavioral health boards

Qualifications:
• Master's degree required
• 15+ years of experience in healthcare administration and management or related field required
