Deputy Director, Housing and Homeless Services

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Washington is seeking a Deputy Director, Housing and Homeless Services based in Washington, DC. The Deputy Director provides leadership and guidance to the department's programs, leading the technology, financial, operational, and administrative functions in support of the department and Agency mission. Supervisory responsibility includes up to 4 FTEs direct and up to 17 FTEs functional supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Executive Director to ensure department's operational success
• Contract/Grants Management: serve as contract point of contact, manage portfolio of grants/contracts, prepare reports and deliverables, develop staffing plans
• Fiscal/Budget Management: lead budget development, monitor billings/spending, review reports, coach staff, conduct trainings
• Reporting/Compliance: develop performance systems, conduct site visits, data integration, and provide reports
• Supervision: supervise directors, managers, and support staff; recruit and retain workforce

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in business, finance, or related field required
• 10 years of experience in a business or financial role
• 5 years of social services program management experience
• 3 years of experience managing local, state, and federal grants
• 3 years of experience managing cost reimbursable and fee-for-service contracts
• Experience creating procedures, workflows, and automation
• Knowledge of budget creation and managing multiple funding streams
• Strong communication and negotiating skills; ability to analyze budgets and financial data
