Director of Student Veteran Success

Texas Christian University (TCU) invites applications for the Director of Student Veteran Success, a full-time, on-campus leadership role within the Division of Student Affairs in Fort Worth, Texas.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Director provides leadership and oversight for all programs related to student veterans, including the operation of the Veteran Resource Center. The Director leads efforts to increase sense of belonging and success for veteran and military-affiliated students, provides training for faculty and staff campus-wide, and serves as TCU's liaison with Veterans Affairs and the external community. This role also supports the Student Emergency Fund administration.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees strategic planning, development, and assessment of student veteran programming, communications, and services
- Manages the Veteran Resource Center and training/development of student staff
- Leads communication, outreach, and marketing initiatives in collaboration with Student Affairs Marketing
- Collaborates with the larger Student Success team to execute developmental programming tailored to veteran needs
- Partners with Veterans Affairs and community stakeholders to arrange educational activities for veterans
- Collaborates with campus entities including VA certifying officials, Orientation, Transfer Admission, Career Services, and academic support units
- Supports and provides guidance to military-affiliated student organizations
- Leads efforts to obtain recognition and funding from external organizations
- Develops and manages departmental budget
- Performs other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in counseling, social work, student development, higher education administration, human resources, management, or related military affairs field
- 5 years of experience as an administrator overseeing services or programs for veterans
- Experience working with veteran populations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- College administrative experience with veterans
- Status as a military veteran
- Bilingual
