Downtown Neighborhood Investment Manager

$80,000 per year

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Downtown Neighborhood Investment Manager serves as a primary point of contact for Economic Development issues, managing stakeholder relationships, incentive application reviews, and business retention/expansion efforts within the downtown district. This is a full-time position with the City of Cleveland's Department of Economic Development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Review incentive applications for loan and grant committees
- Provide technical assistance for site acquisition and rehabilitation
- Engage small businesses and corporate leaders
- Manage City Council inquiries
- Conduct outreach to retail tenants
- Execute marketing strategies for City Economic Development programs

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's Degree in Urban Studies, Economic Development, Business Administration, Public Administration, Marketing, Communications, Political Science, or a closely related field (Master's preferred)
- Experience in a public-facing, stakeholder management, or business development role
- Preferred experience in commercial leasing, business retention, or urban planning within a Central Business District
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Understanding of social justice, DEI, and climate justice
- Commitment to public service and ethical standards

SALARY

$80,000 per year
