Executive Director, Everett Center for Global Religious Freedom

DALLAS BAPTIST UNIVERSITY

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

- Provide leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for the Center for Global Religious Freedom (CGRF).
- Advance the Center's mission through research, education, partnerships, policy engagement, and public engagement.
- Ensure organizational effectiveness, financial sustainability, and alignment with University priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Demonstrated leadership experience in nonprofit management, religious freedom policy, international affairs, higher education, or related field preferred.
- Experience in fundraising, donor relations, or advancement initiatives preferred.
- An advanced degree in law or public policy is required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and strategic planning skills required.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide strategic leadership for the Center, including implementation of the Center's strategic plan, operating priorities, and performance objectives.
- Supervise Center personnel, including the Advocacy Director, Senior Fellows, administrative staff, and interns.
- Oversee program development, project execution, and administrative operations to ensure excellence, accountability, and operational effectiveness.
- Develop and manage Center budgets, financial reporting, and grant compliance.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with government leaders, international organizations, partner organizations, academic institutions, churches, and other strategic stakeholders.
- Represent the Center and the University in external engagements, including conferences, meetings, media opportunities, and public forums.
- Lead advancement and fundraising efforts in collaboration with Senior Fellows and the University Advancement team.
- Support Center communications efforts, including publications, presentations, and digital engagement initiatives.
- Mentor student fellows, interns, and other individuals engaged in Center initiatives.
- Coordinate Center operations with appropriate University offices to ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures.

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time position with regular business hours. Evening and weekend commitments, as well as domestic and international travel, may be required.

WORK LOCATION: This position is based in Washington, D.C., with regular travel to the Dallas Baptist University campus and other locations as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be a Christian and a member of a church that holds to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
