Managing Director, O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law - Georgetown University

Working with the Executive Director and Faculty Director, the Managing Director will provide operational and administrative management, as well as support overall strategic leadership in support of the Center's work. Responsibilities include managing the operations team (financial and grant management, program coordination, and administrative support), and overseeing human resources, finance, communications, and outreach. The Managing Director will also help develop medium and long-range planning and financial strategy to sustain staff and operations, supervise 7 Center Directors, and engage in independent scholarly activities including research, writing, and occasional teaching.

Additional duties include institution management and building, financial oversight, management of student relationships, writing Center reports including an annual report, and providing mentorship and support to staff and students.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- J.D., Ph.D., M.D., MBA or terminal degree
- At least seven years of senior or executive leadership experience
- Skilled in financial oversight and budgeting
- Demonstrated expertise in program building and management, sponsored research, and academic administration
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with academic leaders, faculty, staff, donors, and volunteers
- Strong business and people management capabilities, including HR/talent management and financial planning

Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in medicine, political science, economics, public health, bioethics, or related disciplines
- Experience collaborating with government agencies, international organizations, and civil society/think tank partners
- Experience programming and convening high-level events
- National and global experience, including service on a 501c3 board
