Executive Director of Foundation
LAMAR COMMUNITY COLLEGE (LCC)

$60,000 - $65,000 annually
Lamar Community College (LCC) has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, passionate, and dedicated leader to serve as the Executive Director of the LCC Foundation. Reporting to the College President, this role leads and implements LCC's strategic fundraising plan and manages the Foundation enterprise. This position requires in-person work in Lamar, Colorado.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic and Operational Leadership
- Provide vision and commitment to the Foundation's mission, goals, and strategic plan
- Lead collaborative planning processes and oversee Foundation activities, policies, and asset management
- Serve as a member of the LCC President's Council and related LCC committees
- Serve frequently as spokesperson for the Foundation with community, corporate, and foundation leaders
Lead Fundraising Efforts
- Plan, lead, and stimulate enthusiasm for all fundraising efforts including comprehensive campaign activities
- Develop and maintain relationships with major donors including local and national foundations, corporations, and individuals
- Cultivate, solicit, and close gifts at the highest levels in collaboration with the President and Foundation Board
- Develop, track, and grow an alumni donation campaign strategy
- Support grant seeking opportunities for the College
Asset Management
- Work with LCC finance staff and investment policy committee to develop and implement asset management policies
- Maintain a working knowledge of investment strategies and options
Foundation Board Support
- Actively engage board members in planning and fundraising; keep them informed on higher education philanthropy best practices
- Assist the President in identifying and recruiting Foundation board members
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 1-3 years of fundraising experience including donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
- Experience in management roles in the public or private sector
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
- Experience with non-profit organizations as staff member or fundraising board member
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in business, public administration, or similar field
- Working knowledge of endowment management strategies
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and think strategically
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 annually. LCC offers comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Tuition Reimbursement benefit plans, plus generous annual leave, sick, and holiday benefits. LCC participates in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA).
