Lead, Governance, Risk & Compliance (Remote)

Emergent BioSolutions seeks a Lead, Governance, Risk & Compliance to oversee cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance processes, including data protection and security awareness training. Initially focused on maturing enterprise-wide data protection (data classification, DLP, information protection, and governance), the role will expand to support Manufacturing OT security and broader GRC functions such as regulatory compliance, security policies, and risk management frameworks. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role reporting to the IT Vice President and CISO.

Responsibilities:

• Data Protection: Lead implementation of Data Classification, DLP, Insider Risk Management, and data discovery/inventory; define KPIs and reporting.
• Governance: Improve maturity regarding ISO27001, CMMC, and NIST frameworks; establish governance frameworks and support cyber councils.
• Risk Management: Manage the Cybersecurity risk register; partner with business leaders to evaluate and document technology, operational, and third-party risks.
• Policies & Communications: Develop and maintain information security policies; lead security awareness programs and audit readiness activities.
• Manufacturing Security: Support network segmentation, secure remote access, and OT incident management workstreams.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Information Systems (or equivalent).
• Experience: 5+ years in cybersecurity, compliance, or risk management (or 7+ years of industry experience); experience leading projects and programs.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO27001, CMMC, SOX, and SSAE 18. Understanding of network/computing, vulnerability management, and IAM/PAM.
• Skills: Strong communication (oral, written, presentation) and collaboration skills; ability to author policy documents and perform business risk assessments.

Salary: $155,500 - $188,200 annually.
