Privacy & AI Governance Counsel

Anaplan, an AI-infused scenario planning and analysis platform used by more than 2,400 global companies, is hiring a Privacy & AI Governance Counsel to join its Privacy Legal Team. The role advises the business and product organizations on global privacy and AI governance matters, helping Anaplan deploy AI responsibly and stay ahead of a fast-moving regulatory landscape. The counsel provides practical legal guidance across the full set of privacy and AI regimes that apply to a global SaaS provider, including the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and emerging US state privacy laws, HIPAA, the EU AI Act, and the EU Data Act. The role applies recognized control frameworks and standards such as ISO/IEC 42001, the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, FedRAMP, and DORA, and partners with privacy, security, product, and engineering teams to operationalize responsible-AI and data-protection requirements. - JD and/or LLM degree (or foreign equivalent) and an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction - 5+ years of legal experience specializing in privacy and AI, ideally within a global SaaS or technology environment (law-firm experience also acceptable) - In-depth understanding of global privacy laws and frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, emerging US state privacy laws, HIPAA, the EU AI Act, and the EU Data Act - Familiarity with control frameworks and standards such as ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, FedRAMP, and DORA - Active IAPP CIPP/E or CIPP/US (required) and AIGP (preferred) certifications
