WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The Recording Academy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) and help drive operational efficiency and excellence across the organization. In this highly visible role, you will lead and deliver complex, multi-level, cross-functional projects that align with key business objectives, partnering closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and reporting to the Senior Director, Project Management.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead end-to-end project management, including project leadership, scope management, resource planning, budget oversight, risk management, detailed project planning, execution, monitoring and reporting, deployment and closeout.
- Manage internal and external stakeholder communications and relationships, ensuring all outputs meet client expectations with measurable success outcomes.
- Assess risk and manage change, re-setting expectations as needed in consideration of project progress/outcomes.
- Maintain a high level of communication with internal and external teams by providing clear, tactful, and complete directives, realistic deliverable deadlines, and prompt, actionable feedback.
- Work side-by-side with project and departmental team members in a hands-on capacity to drive effective execution and alignment across all stakeholders while driving accountability.
- Identify, formulate strategies to address, and oversee the resolution of business process issues and improvements to internal processes to create efficiencies.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of existing service offerings and awareness of technical, creative, and business direction.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree and relevant business process analysis and/or project management training and experience. PMP certification preferred.
- 5+ years of project/program management experience, ideally in creative, strategic, or cross-functional environment.
- Proficiency with PM tools (e.g., Airtable, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira), Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Experience with a variety of project management methodologies (waterfall, lean, agile, etc.).
- Proven ability to drive complex projects made up of diverse teams from concept to completion with strong attention to detail.
- Analytical thinking with the ability to work with data, budgets, timelines, and performance metrics.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
- Excellent communication with the ability to translate between creative, technical, and executive audiences.
