About the role
World Relief, a global Christian humanitarian organization that partners with local churches and communities across roughly 100 countries, seeks a Senior Compliance Manager to lead its finance compliance and internal audit function. The role ensures adherence to Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and donor requirements, and strengthens risk management across the organization's domestic and international programs.
The Senior Compliance Manager develops and maintains a risk-based audit philosophy and an annual audit plan, supervises internal audit staff, and plans and conducts audits and investigations. The role provides structured corrective-action support to field offices, leads the development and revision of finance policies and procedures, and delivers compliance, internal control, and audit-readiness training across the organization. It also oversees finance documentation governance and supports grant fund reporting and external audit preparation.
Qualifications: a four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; 2 to 5 years of accounting experience and a working understanding of GAAP; CPA, MBA, or CIA preferred but not required; knowledge of federal grant regulations including Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and audit standards (GAAS, GAGAS); experience with automated accounting and financial reporting systems and strong Excel skills; and commitment to the mission and values of World Relief.
