Position: Senior Finance Associate - North Carolina Black Alliance
The Senior Finance Associate supports the financial efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity for North Carolina Black Alliance and Advance North Carolina in compliance with GAAP. This role ensures timely preparation of monthly financials, oversees budget entry and adjustments, grant allocations, supports payroll and transaction management, and partners with leadership to align financial processes with strategic objectives.
Responsibilities: Manage chart of accounts; ensure proper transaction coding and tracking; process accounts payable and receivables; manage monthly reconciliations; run bi-monthly payroll; produce monthly financial reports; develop internal controls; assist with grant reporting; manage credit card reconciliations; support annual budgeting process; coordinate with CFO and CPAs.
Requirements: 5+ years proven work experience in 501(c)(3) nonprofit; BSc or MSc in Finance/Accounting; hands-on experience with financial management software (Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Ramp, PEX, Gusto); proficient in MS Excel and AI integrations; North Carolina resident preferred.
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 | Location: Raleigh, NC
