Senior GRC Lead

Brex, an intelligent finance platform combining corporate cards, banking, spend management, bill pay, and travel software for companies in more than 200 markets, is seeking a Senior GRC Lead to advance its Governance, Risk, and Compliance function at a pivotal point in its maturity journey. The role bridges compliance expertise with technical execution, driving critical GRC processes that mitigate risk, keep the company compliant, and build trust with customers and partners. The Senior GRC Lead evolves the technical foundation of Brex's Trust program, designs scalable GRC architectures that grow with the company rather than solving only for the immediate audit, and automates security and compliance controls across engineering. The role partners closely with Software, Data, Security, and IT teams to embed governance and controls into how the company builds and operates, and to keep pace with a complex financial-services regulatory landscape. - Experience designing scalable GRC architectures that grow with the company, not just solving for the immediate audit - Ability to bridge compliance expertise with hands-on technical execution and automation - Bias for action, shipping solutions quickly and iterating based on feedback - Preferred: experience in fintech or banking environments navigating complex regulatory landscapes - Preferred: familiarity with AI and ML governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001) or securing agentic systems - Preferred: cloud security (AWS/GCP), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), or DevSecOps experience; SOAR automation (Tines); and certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CCSP
