Sr. Director, International Financial Institutions

World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world's leading conservation organizations, seeks a Sr. Director, International Financial Institutions.

The Sr. Director will coordinate WWF's global strategy for engaging international financial institutions (IFIs) worldwide to increase their investment in nature, and identify and facilitate specific partnership opportunities with IFIs based in Washington, DC. This position will help design and implement a strategy for better engaging ministries of finance to advance WWF's nature- and climate-related policy and finance objectives.

Salary Range: $144,000 - $206,900
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid) — DC-based candidates strongly preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead strategic relationships with Washington-based international financial institutions to support WWF's strategic priorities, including driving MDB investments aligned with WWF's core strategies
- Lead WWF's engagement in the IMF/WB Spring and Annual meetings
- Lead implementation of WWF's global policy engagement strategy for Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) including World Bank, IDB, ADB, AfDB, EBRD, EIB, and AIIB
- Convene WWF's MDB strategy steering committee and work with relationship managers for each MDB
- Develop and lead a WWF network-wide strategy to build capacity in WWF offices to engage with MDBs at the national level
- Support the development of WWF's strategy to Elevate Nature with key decision-makers in IFIs and ministries of finance
- Coordinate engagement with the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action
- Identify emerging opportunities in global and regional policy processes on finance, nature, climate, and development

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree in international environmental or finance policy, or macroeconomics
- Extensive network of relationships in Washington-based international financial institutions and/or ministry of finance
- Familiarity with government, private sector, and civil society actors working on nature, climate, and finance
- Knowledge of IFI policies on nature and climate
- Strong program management skills including program design, people management, monitoring, and evaluation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Committed to building and strengthening a culture of inclusion
