Sr. Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

Since our founding in 1924, we've cut cardiovascular disease deaths in half, but there is still so much more to do. The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis at our office located in Dallas, TX.

This position will work in a hybrid setting (in office 2-3 days a week) in our Dallas office.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing financial planning and analysis with a heavy emphasis on budget and forecast activities. You will be responsible for preparing, coordinating, and consolidating budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for various business units across the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze, research, and report on monthly financial activity
- Act as a financial business partner for developing and growing business units
- Create budget templates for new emerging areas
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports
- Develop and prepare financial projections
- Review financial projections against current data
- Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external customers
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related area
- Minimum 5 years finance and accounting experience
- Experience with variance analysis, budgeting, financial reporting
- Ability to communicate complex financial data
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent oral and written communications

Preferred:
- CPA
- Oracle Essbase and/or SmartView experience
- Non-profit experience
