Associate Director, Development (Rochester, NY)

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is seeking an experienced fundraising professional who will manage all aspects of a peer-to-peer event-based portfolio, including oversight of event revenue and donor & fundraiser development and engagement. This self-starting individual will be responsible for driving fundraising success for the Tour de Cure cycling events in the Capital and Finger Lakes Regions.

The Associate Director must live within 50 miles of Rochester, NY.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fundraising and Relationship Building
• Manage and review daily campaign data through reports, dashboards, and revenue analysis
• Monitor fundraising portfolio performance to ensure timely responsiveness
• Execute plans for retention, upgrade, and acquisition
• Data mining for identification of participants, team captains, corporate partners, and sponsors
• Develop new business with existing donors and new prospects
• Maintain accurate donor records
• Experience making $50k+ corporate sponsorship and team asks

Volunteer Engagement
• Support development of local pipeline of constituents and event leaders
• Work with Executive Director & Development Director on Event Chair and Executive Leadership Team
• Build relationships with community, philanthropic, and corporate leaders

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree required
• 3+ years of professional experience in peer-to-peer fundraising, events, and corporate partnerships
• Excellent public speaking skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft, DonorDrive (or other P2P platforms), and CRM
• Ability to travel and work occasional nights and weekends
• Must live within 50 miles of Rochester, NY

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
• Base pay: $63,000 - $68,000
