Salary Range: $115,000-$125,000
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean for MSSW Education, the Director of Institutional Research and Evaluation serves as the School's senior analytics leader and a strategic advisor to executive leadership. This role is responsible for advancing a comprehensive institutional research and analytics function that informs academic planning, enrollment strategy, program performance, and accreditation.
The position requires a holistic understanding of CSSW operations and plays a critical role in shaping data-informed decision making across the School.
Responsibilities
- Manage institutional research tools, platforms, and subscriptions
- Manage and maintain daily interfaces across various School and University systems
- Translate complex institutional data into clear, actionable insights to guide leadership decisions
- Lead comprehensive institutional research efforts related to the MSSW and doctoral programs
- Provide benchmarking and external market analysis
- Oversee the School's learning outcomes assessment processes and program evaluation strategies
- Lead the School's annual career outcomes data strategy
- Complete the CSWE annual program survey
- Partner with CSSW leadership to implement biennial learning outcomes assessment plan
- Provide data and analyses for external reporting, rankings, and institutional submissions
- Consult and train School staff on survey design, data interpretation, and research software
- Supervise the Assistant Director of Institutional Research and Evaluation
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience (institutional research, data analysis, or assessment)
- Advanced proficiency with SQL-based relational database design, query, and analysis
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools (R, SPSS)
- Demonstrated experience with survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics)
- Experience developing and delivering analytics, reports, or presentations to senior leadership
- Exceptional communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and set priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Engagement in professional institutional research and higher education associations
- Experience in social work education or related professional schools
- Familiarity with generative AI and its integration into workflow processes
