JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the HDAPP Director, this position receives and responds to complaints, reports, and inquiries from all UCD/UCDH community members regarding discrimination, harassment (including sexual harassment), and sexual violence. The specialist works to promote the goals of HDAPP and provides leadership in developing, facilitating, and evaluating educational programs on preventing and responding to these issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• 70% – Complaint Resolution Analysis and Coordination
• 20% – Training and Outreach
• 10% – General Program Support
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in related area and/or three years of experience/training
• Experience researching and analyzing complex issues and developing solutions
• Experience reading, interpreting, applying, and communicating policies and procedures
• Experience utilizing professional judgment and discretion in handling difficult, sensitive, and highly confidential situations
• Experience developing, presenting, and evaluating instructor-led and online courses on topics such as sexual harassment, discrimination, or sexual violence
• Knowledge of state and federal compliance issues including discrimination, harassment, and sexual violence
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience helping others develop professionally
• Skill to identify political or potentially volatile situations
POSITION DETAILS
• Salary: $85,500 – $157,300/yr (Grade 23, subject to department budgeted maximum)
• Appointment Type: Staff Career (Full-Time, 100%)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Location: Davis, CA (Hybrid – mix of on-site and remote)

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
HDAPP serves the entire UCD/UCDH community of staff, academics, students, patients, visitors, and volunteers. With a strong emphasis on prevention and risk-reduction, HDAPP develops targeted educational and outreach programming and coordinates three multidisciplinary case management teams. Administratively, HDAPP is part of the Compliance and Policy Unit in the Office of the Chancellor.
