Financial Analyst / Grants Manager

The Financial Analyst / Grants Manager will manage the financial allocations of program expenses within the budgets of a portfolio of restricted and unrestricted grants and other funding sources. This position will provide financial analysis to the Chief Financial Officer in support of reporting to donors.

LOCATION: Hybrid work environment from Washington, DC office (minimum 3 days/week in office)

SALARY: $80,000-$100,000

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee optimal allocation of program, operations, and indirect expenses within the organization's portfolio of grants
• Maintain schedule of grants with respective budgets, restrictions, indirect rates, and reporting requirements
• Prepare monthly program and grant budget-to-actual statements
• Assist with preparation of organization, program, and grant budgets
• Monitor compliance with terms of grant and funding agreements
• Assist in preparing donor financial reports
• Provide schedules for annual external audit

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related discipline; OR 3 years experience tracking allocation of expenses and budget management at a nonprofit
• Minimum 5 years of nonprofit grants administrative experience
• Expert knowledge of budgeting and management of restricted grant portfolios
• Experience with Abila MIP accounting software preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and lookup functions
• Experience participating in external organizational audits
