Compensation: $175,000 annually

Reports To: Senior Managing Director, Major Gifts
Supervises: 3-6 Direct Reports
Travel: 30-40% required

Scope

Join the Advancement department of the country's leading grassroots environmental organization. You will be part of a dynamic major gifts team raising upwards of $65 million for high-impact campaigns from individual donors, family foundations, and institutional funders. This role is responsible for direct fundraising efforts of $25,000 or greater, as well as team management for the Western region Major Gifts staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive strategies to identify, cultivate, upgrade, and solicit retained and new donors with capacity to give $100,000+
• Serve as primary relationship manager for a portfolio of approximately 100 current and prospective supporters
• Manage and mentor a team of gift officers and associates
• Create annual fundraising goals and strategy for achieving them
• Work with research team and local leadership to identify prospects and develop solicitation strategies
• Design and implement donor outreach efforts to diversify the major donor base

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in major gift fundraising, including cultivation and solicitation of six-figure gifts or greater
• Success managing and mentoring major gift officers with demonstrated fundraising growth
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Committed to equity, justice, and continuous learning

Preferred

• Proficiency with Salesforce, Google Workspace, MS Office
• Knowledge and experience fundraising for environmental issues
• Experience integrating equity and inclusion into fundraising plans

Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and proof of auto insurance required.
