Counsel

The Trevor Project seeks a Counsel to serve as a legal generalist handling day-to-day matters and high-level projects. Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, the Counsel will manage contracting, data privacy, technology, compliance, and risk management across the organization. Responsibilities include reviewing and negotiating contracts (development agreements, software agreements, licensing), advising on evolving laws relevant to LGBTQ+ community, handling government investigations, and collaborating with department heads on legal matters. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of legal experience including 2+ years in-house, strong contract negotiation skills, and ability to navigate sensitive matters with discretion.
