Executive Director of Foundation

Position Summary:

Lamar Community College (LCC) seeks an Executive Director of Foundation to lead and implement LCC's strategic fundraising plan. The Executive Director is responsible for the leadership and operation of the Foundation enterprise, setting the example for dynamic fundraising, managing Foundation assets, and effectively partnering with the college.

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 Annually
Location: Lamar, CO (in-person required)
Closing Date: March 22, 2026

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Foundation
- Lead fundraising efforts including major gifts, corporate, foundation and individual giving
- Cultivate, solicit, and close gifts at the highest levels
- Develop and maintain relationships with major donors
- Manage Foundation assets and budget
- Support the Foundation Board
- Develop alumni donation campaign strategy
- Serve as spokesperson for the Foundation with community and corporate leaders
- Provide training and mentoring programs for the foundation

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- 1-3 years of experience in fundraising including a track record of cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors
- Experience in management roles in the public or private sector
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong public speaking skills
- Experience with non-profit organizations either as staff member or involved, fundraising board member

Preferred Qualifications:
- Strongly committed to the Lamar Community College's mission, vision, goals, and strategic plan
- Understanding of higher education systems and fundraising
- Working knowledge of endowment management strategies and vehicles
- Ability to think strategically and to analyze and solve problems
- Strong organizational skills, ability to assess needs, and multi-task
