Strategic Finance Manager

As a Strategic Finance Manager, you will sit within the Strategic Finance GTM team and own the financial analysis underpinning Headway's two-sided marketplace. This is a highly cross-functional role that involves building models, tracking performance, and surfacing insights to drive appointment volume, retention, and long-run unit economics.

Responsibilities

• Lead deep-dive analyses to identify root causes of marketplace performance (monitoring trends across provider utilization and patient retention).
• Build and maintain functional operating models for Provider and Patient units.
• Drive ongoing budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Develop strategies for accelerating progress and addressing business problems.
• Partner cross-functionally to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop dashboards, reporting, and executive-ready materials to communicate progress.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience, ideally a mix of financial services (Investment Banking / Consulting / Private Equity) and highly analytical roles at a fast-growing tech company.
• Highly proficient in Google Sheets (advanced formulas) and Looker (or similar BI tools).
• Detail-oriented with a "measure twice, cut once" approach to financial data.
• Actively uses AI tools in day-to-day work for analysis and modeling.
• Strong communication skills, capable of tailoring messages for different audiences (finance vs. business/product partners).
• Resourceful, self-starter mentality.

Salary Range

$152,000 - $200,000 base pay, plus eligibility for an equity grant.
