Development Manager

The Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation is seeking a Development Manager to drive community awareness and advance the organization's short and long-term fundraising goals. This 501(c)3 nonprofit provides financial assistance to adult cancer patients in Florida for essential living expenses, allowing them to focus on treatment.

Position Overview:

The Development Manager will lead development initiatives including special appeals, donor cultivation, legacy giving, major gifts, and event sponsorships. This role oversees donor and patient campaigns, employee giving programs, and business partnerships while identifying and securing grant opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cultivate and secure event sponsorships and in-kind donations
• Partner with Event Manager on annual fundraising events
• Develop and implement major gift and legacy giving programs
• Design and execute annual appeals and donor cultivation strategies
• Roll out employee giving campaigns
• Research and apply for local and state grants
• Create annual strategic plans reflecting diverse fundraising strategies
• Measure and report on effectiveness of fundraising initiatives
• Travel throughout Florida

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 5 years of experience in development and fundraising
• 3-5 years experience with donor cultivation and major gifts
• 3-5 years of event planning experience
• Donor database management preferred
• Strong customer service, written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with independent judgment
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Valid Driver's License

This is a remote position based in Florida.
