Executive Director, Foundation and Community/Alumni Partnerships

Chaffey College, one of California's oldest community colleges, is seeking an Executive Director, Foundation and Community/Alumni Partnerships to lead all aspects of Foundation resource development including fundraising, alumni activities, community outreach, grant development, and external relations. Under the direction of the Superintendent/President and the Chaffey College Foundation Board of Directors, the Executive Director serves as operational manager of the Foundation, directs and supervises the Foundation office, and leads efforts to strengthen partnerships across the District's communities.

Chaffey College serves the cities of Chino, Chino Hills, Fontana, Montclair, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, and Upland, reaching a population of more than 830,000. As a federally recognized Hispanic Serving Institution, Chaffey is deeply committed to equity-driven programming and community engagement.

Responsibilities:
- Achieve fundraising goals; solicit and obtain major gifts; manage and execute annual and special fund campaigns.
- Coordinate programs and processes related to fundraising and grant funding proposals.
- Organize and facilitate committees and task forces related to Planned Giving, Alumni Association, Public Relations, and Volunteer Involvement/event planning.
- Develop and implement scholarship programs that address student needs and support student success.
- Lead external relations by establishing and maintaining partnerships with alumni, retirees, corporate partners, elected officials, faith-based leaders, and civic organizations.
- Direct community outreach strategies and action plans that strengthen ties between the District and external stakeholders.
- Provide expert consultation to District leadership on strengthening community connections and partnerships.
- Develop and execute quarterly planning for alumni, faith-based, and retirees' councils; oversee alumni-community communications.
- Develop and maintain strategic plans for Foundation, Alumni, and Community Outreach.
- Manage all Foundation, Alumni, and Community Outreach budgets; monitor Foundation assets and fiduciary oversight of trust agreements and gift/investment policies.
- Lead and organize special campus events, including the Athletic Hall of Fame/Alumni of the Year dinner, GradFest, and Tailgate.
- Train and supervise staff; establish relationships with community organizations and department/division staff.
- Prepare proposals, reports, presentation/marketing materials, publications, and meeting agendas.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree.
- Three years of successful experience identifying, coordinating, and implementing fund-raising programs.
- Three years of experience researching and writing grant proposals.
- Experience developing and conducting presentations.
- Experience leading a non-profit organization with Boards of Directors.
- Experience with budget management.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disability backgrounds of community college students and staff.

Desirable Qualifications:
- Master's degree in marketing, management, or a related area.
- Significant administrative experience in leadership, organization, planning, development, staffing, budget management, evaluation, and supervision.

Conditions of Employment: This is a full-time, 12-month position; Level II, Range 32 of the Management Personnel Plan, with a monthly salary of $14,531. Excellent benefits include health care, dental, vision, and retirement coverage through CalPERS. Onsite work at a Chaffey facility is an essential function of this position.
